Sheikh Tahir Al-Zawi Center and National Library of Russia Discuss Strengthening Scientific Partnership in Tripoli

In a move aimed at strengthening international scientific cooperation, the Sheikh Tahir Al-Zawi Center for Studies, Research, and Heritage Verification welcomed a high-level delegation from the National Library of Russia at its headquarters in Tripoli.

The visiting delegation was headed by Professor Denis Tsypkin, Director General of the Library, and included Dr. Olga Yastrebova, Head of the Oriental Studies Center, and Dr. Alexander Matveev, a senior archaeologist. They were received by Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Shaibani, a member of the Center.

During the meeting, a comprehensive presentation was delivered on the Center’s vision, mission, and specialized activities in serving Islamic and particularly Libyan manuscript heritage. The discussion also highlighted the research projects and scholarly publications issued by the Center, which aim to revive this scientific legacy and make it accessible to researchers and academics.

Both parties discussed mechanisms for activating cooperation and building a strategic and fruitful scientific partnership.

This visit serves as a continuation of previous engagements, specifically the Center’s delegation visit to the National Library of Russia’s headquarters in St. Petersburg. It reaffirms the mutual desire to move forward with projects of common interest, thereby serving scientific objectives and enhancing cultural exchange.
