Commemorating the 40th Anniversary of the Passing of Scholar Al-Tahir Al-Zawi: Organizing a Comprehensive Scientific Seminar on “Jurisprudential Fundamentals in the Maliki School”

In a profound scientific and intellectual atmosphere, and marking the 40th anniversary of the passing of His Eminence, the Scholar and Mufti, Sheikh Al-Tahir Al-Zawi (may God have mercy upon him) (1890 – 1986 AD), the “Sheikh Al-Tahir Al-Zawi Center for Studies, Research, and Heritage Verification” organized a comprehensive scientific dialogue seminar entitled: (Jurisprudential Fundamentals in the Maliki School). The event took place at the Center’s headquarters on the evening of Wednesday, April 1, 2026.

Capably moderated by Dr. Abdullah Hussein Hadid (University of Misrata), the seminar witnessed remarkable attendance and distinguished participation from elite scholars, academics, and specialists from Libya and abroad (Tunisia and Algeria). The event highlighted the rich jurisprudential legacy and methodological approach of the Maliki school.
