The book comprises six large volumes, totaling over 3575 pages, and is considered a gem among the treasures of Islamic Sicily, authored by Abu Muhammad Abd al-Haqq al-Sahmi al-Siqilli.

This commentary—considered one of the most important commentaries on the foundational text of Maliki jurisprudence, the Mudawwana—remained confined to manuscript collections for nearly a thousand years. This edition marks its first appearance in print and its first scholarly edition. This book is of great importance, as it contains hundreds of texts transmitted from works that have been lost and are no longer mentioned in public and private libraries. It is also considered one of the last works authored by Imam Abdul Haq, and it contains all that his fatwas, preferences, and jurisprudential choices have settled upon.
